Explorer version problem

Symptoms:

During the login flow this message appears:

"Sorry, your Browser or Browser version is incompatible. Your Internet Browser is either not Microsoft Internet Explorer or is lower than the 5.01 version."

Cause of the Problem:

Trying to enter the survey with an explorer version lower than 5.01, or an incompatible browser such as Netscape.

Solution:

  • Checking Browser version:
    • If you are using AOL browser:
      Go to the 'HELP' menu, and click on 'ABOUT AOL', look at the version. Only versions 6.0 - 8.0 are compatible, but you might still be able to use Microsoft Internet Explorer instead. Run Microsoft Internet Explorer in order to check which version it is: Go to start -> programs -> Internet Explorer

    • If you are using MSN browser: Run Microsoft Internet Explorer in order to check which version it is: Go to start -> programs -> Internet Explorer

    • Checking Internet Explorer version: Go to the web browser's menu bar at the top of your screen. Go to 'HELP' and then to 'ABOUT INTERNET EXPLORER'. There you'll see the version number.

    • Check compatibility according to the: Internet Explorer versions table. Only versions 5.01 and up are compatible.

  • If the browser is not compatible :
    It appears that the Internet Explorer version you are using is outdated and is therefore not compatible with our platform.
    • If you have a fast connection and the event has not started yet:
      You can download a newer version before the session begins by clicking here.

    • If you have a dial-up connection and the event is about to begin or has already begun: This means that unfortunately you will not be able to attend this particular session, but you can still upgrade your browser for future events.
