Cookies problem / Incompatible browser settings

Symptoms:

During the login flow this message appears:

"Sorry, your Browser settings are incompatible - Your Microsoft Internet Explorer is currently "Cookies" disabled. In order to attend this event, this option must be enabled."

Cause of the Problem:

The browser's security and/or Privacy settings are incompatible

Solution:

  • Check internet security and privacy settings:
    • Internet Explorer security settings: To check your browsers security settings, In your browsers menu bar click on the TOOLS button, in the tools menu, click on INTERNET OPTIONS and now click on the SECURITY tab. Make sure that the GLOBE icon on the far left which says "internet" is highlighted. Is your security level set to medium? If not, click on the DEFAULT LEVEL button.

    • Internet Explorer privacy settings (exists only on IE 6): Move to the privacy tab, Is it set to medium? If not, click on the DEFAULT LEVEL button.

    • AOL or MSN browsers security: Go to start -> settings -> control panel (Windows XP: start ->control panel), choose 'Internet Options', now click on the SECURITY tab. Make sure that the GLOBE icon on the far left which says "internet" is highlighted. Is your security level set to medium? If not, click the DEFAULT LEVEL button.

    • AOL or MSN browsers privacy: If you also have a privacy tab, click on it, Is it set to medium? If not, click the DEFAULT LEVEL button.

  • Retry:
    Press the 'RETRY' button at the bottom of the error page and continue the login flow

  • If it didn't work:
    In win 98 and explorer version 6.0, sometimes the default settings are not good enough. In this case, try allowing cookies specifically for the Invoke session URL.
    • Internet Explorer - open privacy settings: Click on the TOOLS button, in the tools menu, click on INTERNET OPTIONS and now click on Privacy tab.

    • AOL or MSN browsers - open privacy: Go to start -> settings -> control panel, choose 'Internet Options' now click on the Privacy tab.

    • Click on the 'EDIT' button on the bottom right hand side.

    • In the new window, paste the session URL from your invitation into the text line labeled 'Address of web site' and press on the 'Allow' button.
