Symptoms: The screen is frozen, you can’t perform any action in the survey.
Cause of the Problem:
Typical for windows 98, or windows Me, Can occur after an error message has been displayed.
Solution:
- Try to move something:
Try to minimize your browser window. By pressing the little line on the upper right hand corner of your browser window or click on the favorites menu in your browsers toolbar.
- If something moves:
The browser is not stuck, could be a scrollbar or focus problem.
- Close all applications:
The problem you are experiencing is caused by an over-load on your computers memory. Please close all other applications running on your computer. Try closing the browser too, by pressing the X on the upper right hand corner of your browser.
Please Note: If you reached the session through a panel company website, closing your browser might result in you not being able to reach the session again. If you wish to continue your participation in the session, please copy the URL line before closing your browser and then reopen it and paste the link to the new browser. The link to the session may also be found in your browser's history.
- If you get “this program is not responding” message:
Choose ‘end now’.
- If nothing happens:
Close explorer forcefully (next item).

- Open the task manager:
Press CONTROL + ALT + DEL simultaneously, but make sure you only press it once otherwise your computer will reboot. - In windows 2000 or XP:
In the ‘windows security’ window, click the ‘task manager’ button.
- Choose the correct application:
Select the applications tab. - For Microsoft Internet Explorer:
Select the item which ends with 'Microsoft Internet Explorer'. Make sure you do not select the item which is just 'Explorer'. Now press the ‘End Task’ button.
- For MSN browser:
Select the application with the butterfly icon which says Invoke Solutions. Now press the ‘End Task’ button.
- For AOL browser:
Select the application with the blue triangle icon which says ‘AOL’ or ‘America On Line’. Now press the ‘End Task’ button.
- If a dialog box appears:
If another window appears, which says ‘this program is not responding’ choose ‘end now’.
- If the entire computer stuck, reboot:
Press on the “reboot” button of your computer, when it comes up again try to re-login.

- Re-log in:
- If you received an email invitation to participate in the session, press the link in the invitation and re-log in to the event, After re-logging into the event you will only see the current and future questions, you will not be able to see old questions at all.
- If you did not receive an invitation to the session, paste the link you copied in the previous step to the URL line of a new browser and press Enter. You may also find the link to the session in your browser's history.
